Evan Brown serves as counsel to construction industry and government contract clients. Prior to joining Groff Murphy, Mr. Brown served as a law clerk to Chief Judge Thomas R. Bjorgen and Judge Bradley A. Maxa of the Washington Court of Appeals, Division Two. He worked on civil and criminal cases across many fields of law, including numerous complex construction and administrative cases. He specialized particularly in statutory and contracts interpretation; constitutional and administrative law; and questions involving property and tort law in Washington. Since moving into private practice, Mr. Brown has focused on commercial litigation involving construction disputes and government contracts.

A former musician, books editor, and editor-in-chief of the Washington Journal of Law, Technology & Arts, Mr. Brown is also experienced with legal issues facing the publishing, arts and interactive media industries.
